Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Vikke Harper - 3 April 2008
I stumbled onto a video included in "funny video's" on you-tube. I view and send my family fun and silly videos of beloved pets doing silly things. This video just had a picture of a dog to indicate what it was. But when I opened the video and viewed it, the video was not about silly things at all.
Tears began streaming down my face with such sadness I cannot shake even now, three weeks later. I have always kept my head in the sand and avoided such images, thinking people really don't treat animals that way. However, please continue to put these images on the Internet. We all must be educated about these atrocities, however distasteful the images are.
I have surfed the net and there are tons of sites devoted to making all of us aware of the plight of animals. I just hope as more people surf the web and view these terrible images, maybe then we all can make a difference in the lives of all of God's creatures. And maybe children can be taught to treasure animals, not grow up to slaughter them.
Thank you very much for for writing and telling us about the effect that
this video had on your life.
Sometime, it takes this kind of 'shock therapy' to get our heads out of
the sand, and help to end the atrocities committed upon animals.
Please tell as many people as you can and refer them to our web site so
that they can see for themselves.
We look forward to hearing from you again.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
