From Petra About Going Vegetarian Because of Chickens - 29 Jul 2010

I have just come across your very informative website. I keep rescued ex-battery hens as pets, and your photos had me all in tears, again. What human kind is able to do to these poor hens, and all kinds of other animals for that matter, beggars belief! There really is no need for keeping animals the way that we do.

Since having become more aware of all that cruelty that has been going on on 'farms' for decades, I turned vegetarian. I just do not wish to contribute to all that misery that these hens have to endure. Thank you for making people aware of that.
