Animal Film Festival in Suncheon, S. Korea with an amazing array of animal activists, rescuers, filmmakers, musicians, composers, vegetarians, commissioners, attorneys, and just bloody good people dedicated to animal rights and welfare.
Lots of love and wonderful events and films.
Animal rights and welfare is still a new concept in Korea and I am so very proud and excited to be the first westerner invited to the this brand new festival for animals. We had an amazing screening of How I Became an Elephant, Earthlings, Blackfish, Free Willy and 36 other animal films. The Q&A lasted over 1 hour and our "Animals In Entertainment" panel with fellow filmmaker, animal activist, and local animal attorney was a three-hour intellectual, rational, and enlightening dialog for everyone... myself included.
Thanks for the love and support, Korea. You captured my heart and I will
support your causes any way I can. And thank you for pulling together and
freeing the illegally captured dolphins from Jiju park. A fine example of
people pulling together for greater good and the rights of wild animals.
