CBS has announced a new daytime talk show for Fall 2010 featuring a wide variety of panelists who will present news stories and events through the eyes of mothers.
Sara Gilbert, who developed the show and serves as executive producer, will join Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and Marissa Jaret Winokur on the daily one- hour series which has yet to be named.
"Daytime is an evolving daypart with more variety now among soap operas, game and talk shows," said Barbara Bloom, Senior Vice President, Daytime, CBS Entertainment. "We were looking for a new format that would speak to the core audience but also have the topical and entertainment value to go even broader. This panel is not a bashful bunch; they are outspoken on any issue you put on the table. It promises to be an hour of television with timely discussions, unfiltered opinions and a lot of personality."
With children ranging in age from infant to adult, the co-hosts will share stories near and dear to their hearts as mothers and challenge each other and the viewers on issues straight from the headlines. Segments will include guest interviews along with personal video footage shot by the co-hosts from their homes.
The new daytime talk show will replace “As the World Turns” which airs its final show in September after 54 years on the air.
