Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA has ended their abusive elephant rides contracted with the notorious Have Trunk Will Travel (HTWT)! For years ADI shared our shocking undercover evidence with Six Flags management and supported local campaigners to end these abusive rides.

ADI’s video shows elephants at HTWT being violently and routinely beaten with bullhooks and shocked with stun guns.

It is a huge relief to have confirmation they are not coming back to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, marking the end of HTWT’s last major contract in the state. We are proud of the compassionate local citizens who have protested and spoken out alongside ADI, and we have no doubt these efforts made the difference in bringing these abusive rides to an end.

Elephant rides have been abandoned by several events after decision makers viewed the evidence, including the Santa Ana Zoo; San Diego, Los Angeles, Nevada, Kern, and Orange County Fairs; the CA cities of Sierra Madre, Fountain Valley, and Upland; Surprise, AZ; and Curacao Children’s Fair in Los Angeles.
