Dairymen Reason That Animal Torture is Permissible
A Meat and Dairy Industries Article from All-Creatures.org

All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize. This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves. As we continue to disregard the value of the lives of the billions of animals we eat, we also are destroying our air, land and water.

My cows are personal property, not the property of any other person or nation. I am fed up with those who destroy our personal rights and freedoms to appease a very few but very vocal anti animal ag goons.

What is permissible is not always honorable.
- Marcus Tullius Cicero

In a page 454 editorial of the July, 2015 issue, a letter to the editor admonishes Hoard's editors for suggesting that animal care should not become an issue to be legislated by members of Congress. The 21st century slave owner wrote:

My cows are personal property, not the property of any other person or nation. I am fed up with those who destroy our personal rights and freedoms to appease a very few but very vocal anti animal ag goons. No industry is above our constitutional rights to private property and our decision regarding our property.

Forgive me if I am wrong, but wasn't that the same closing argument of Timothy McVeigh's lawyer shortly before his client was given the death penalty for his role in the Oklahoma City federal office building bombing?

While defending the concept of animals as personal property, and blasting "the anti-animal-abuse zealots", Hoard's accurately peers into the future, predicting its own demise by writing:

For those among us who continue to grasp onto the draconian notion that 'my farm is my business' they can do so at their own risk. One day no market may be available for their farm products. Yes, the world is changing…

Yes it is, and not soon enough.
