(02:01) In 2012, two Cairo University veterinary
students-turned-whistleblowers have made allegations of animal cruelty at
the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. It is the first time animal welfare
activists have had hard evidence on which to pin their longstanding claims
that the faculty mistreats the animals it uses for experiments and student
training.
This donkey foal was crudely electrocuted by having wires attached to two of
his feet, an ear and genitals and then shocked to death. His death was, fortunately,
immediate. Why do this? Ask vivisectors.
Thank you to
Occupy for Animals for
posting this and to
Society for the Protection of Animal Rights in Egypt (SPARE) and of
course, to the brave students-turned-whistleblowers.
