(01:31) In the annual run-up to Christmas, with cheerful images of reindeer making their annual festive appearance, World Society for the Protection of Animals WSPA's investigation has exposed a grim counterpoint in Sweden and Finland: the suffering inflicted on reindeer herds as they are rounded up in large numbers, transported and slaughtered. Footage from the investigators' report shows the extreme distress experienced by reindeer at every stage of the largely commercial process. [Video from youtube.com.]
