Time to support Lynn Rogers as DNR threatens to end research

Dr. Lynn Rogers, founder of the Wildlife Research Institute and more
recently, the North American Bear Center, is one of the preeminent bear
researchers in the world. He has written more than 100 scientific
articles about his research. He and our part of the world have been
featured prominently in films like �The Man Who Walks With Bears.�
Two years ago a French film crew documented his work. From now until
October a BBC film crew is in town creating a documentary about his
findings. These films advertise the beauty of our region, educate
millions of people about bears and encourage tourism.
So why is the Minnesota DNR reviewing a proposal to rescind
permission for Rogers to carry out his research or to burden him with
onerous requirements to continue? Why does the DNR refuse to protect
radio-collared bears? Allow Lynn to continue his research. The DNR
decision could come as early as the end of June. You can express your
