Review:

Sarah Taylor has written Vegan in 30 Days as a step by step 30 day guide to becoming vegan, if in fact it will take that long.  In addition the book is filled with helpful hints, tips, and did you know comments to help the reader better understand the reasons that they should be vegan for reasons of health and compassion. Then Sarah concludes each daily chapter with a simple assignment to help make the transition to a vegan diet easier.

Sarah talks about having a large salad every day, which we have also been doing for many years. We also enjoyed the chart in Vegan in 30 Days where substitutes are suggested for animal products, with an immediate suggestion of what is even a better choice for becoming a healthful vegan.

We highly recommend Vegan in 30 Days for anyone who may be considering changing to a vegan diet for reasons of compassion, or who simply wants to improve their health.

About the Author:

Sarah Taylor has been a vegan since 2002 when she read "Diet for a New America" by John Robbins. Both the science and the philosophy supporting a vegan diet convinced her to go vegan, and she has never looked back.

In 2006, Sarah started a company called "The Vegan Next Door," in an effort to spread the word about the vegan diet. She is now a motivational speaker, trainer and author.

In her personal time, Sarah serves on the Board of Directors at Washington Women's Employment and Education, enjoys playing competitive tennis, scuba diving, reading and adventure traveling. She is happily married and lives in Gig Harbor, WA with her husband and many companion animals.
