Speaking Schedule:
VEGETARIAN-VEGAN SOCIETY OF CHAUTAUQUA
MAY 2012
PROGRAM: George Eisman, Registered Dietician, Ithaca, NY, will speak AT TWO
LOCATIONS on Cancer Prevention through Plan-Based Eating. He is considered
one of the nation's foremost educators on vegetarian nutrition. He served as
a faculty member in Dietetics and Nutrition at several universities and
colleges and has worked in a children's hospital and a nursing home, as well
as for public health agencies in four states. Eisman founded the first
accredited program in vegetarian studies, The Association of Vegetarian
Dietitians and Nutrition Educators, which is an organization offering
correspondence courses in vegetarian nutrition. He is also an Advisory Board
Member of EarthSave International. Eisman currently speaks at numerous
events and conferences and is author of two books, The Most Noble Diet and A
Basic Course in Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition. Don’t miss this great

MENU: Healthy pot luck - those coming are invited, but not required, to
bring a nutritious dish to share which will serve 8 to 12 people, as well as
the recipe. All food should be vegan (no meat, eggs, milk, butter or other
dairy products used in preparing it), and organic if possible.
COST: $6.00 / or free if you bring a dish (applies to one person per dish!);
children 7-17 half-price, children 6 and under free

The Vegetarian Society of Chautauqua County is an information and supportive
group for those individuals seeking to explore healthy eating through
vegetarian, vegan or raw food lifestyles. The group meets monthly for
dinner, which contains no eggs, dairy or animal products. In addition, for
health reasons we strive to use only whole unrefined ingredients.
