You are not alone in your feelings; we chat with many people who feel the same way.
Your approach is the ideal that Jesus set for us to live by, and in this effort we have to be credible consistent witnesses. If we are, other will see our sincerity.
So, you can do all three things together, but it is often best not to force our other views during discussions on other subjects, unless they mention something about them either pro or con. Such as, if they want to have a meal together, then it is proper to mention that you are vegetarian and want to make sure where they plan to go has something that you can eat. This is often a problem with church meals, too.
