Dear Sam:

Please accept my apology for not seeing and responding to you email before now.

You are not alone in your feelings about your church’s indifference to the suffering and death of animals; we hear from people all over the world telling the same things.

However, we do believe that you should tell them how you really feel in a very peaceful and loving way, and perhaps this is the reason that God has you there. Even if some people didn’t accept your message, at least they heard it.

All the sacrificial offering of animals seems to have originated in Babylon. Abraham brought those practices with him, and from everything we learned, when the priests came back to Jerusalem from Babylon and compiled the Bible some 400 years before Jesus was born, they added those formalized sacrificial rituals.

Jesus taught us to pray for God’s heavenly will to be done on earth as it is in heaven, where there is no pain or mourning or death, so being vegan is doing exactly that, so don’t listen to those hard of heart people that tell you otherwise.

Do you remember what God said after Noah sacrificed some of the animals? He accepted his repentance, but at the same time, He said that people were evil from their youth. No killing is in the heavenly will of God.

God; however, does allow us to suffer in the sins of our own making, such as the eating of animal products, which cause almost all of the chronic diseases from which billions of people suffer.

Don’t lose your faith. You are on the right path, and you sound like one of the peacemaking children of God that Jesus calls us to be.

We hope this helps.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary Hoffman
