In Reference to: Are Religions Bad for Animals?
Thank you very much for writing. We feel the same way you do about most humans, but we cannot stop encouraging them to change, just as we and others have changed.
We agree that loving animals enriches the soul, but over the years, we have also discovered that unconditional love and compassion for the whole of God’s creation can enrich the soul even more.
When we learn to love other human beings, even the ones that do evil things, as God wants them to be, and we don’t eat, wear or otherwise use any animals, we make much more credible witnesses, and find it gives us ways of starting a dialogue. Remember also that loving someone in this way does not mean that we have to trust them or like what they are doing; those things they have to do.
We look forward to hearing from you again.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
