Dear Samuel:

Sacrifices are part of God's concession to sinful humans and not part of His will.

In Isaiah 1, he speaks about the blood lust of people's sacrifices and in verse 21 calls them murderers.

The Bible teaches us that we are to care for our animals and have compassion for them (i.e. Proverbs 12:10). To deliberately cause then fain and suffering is a sin against God, and anyone who knowingly buys animal products from such people become part of those sinful acts.
