Our animal cruelty discussions are about animals and religion (Christian, Jewish and others); diet and lifestyle (vegan and vegetarian); and other miscellaneous subjects.
A lot of people on this list feel the way you do including me. This weekend is our Canadian Thanksgiving and my church friends don't understand why I won't eat turkey as 'thanks'. It's not very thankful to the turkey, is it? My mother invited us for Thanksgiving and, as after 6 years she still doesn't get it that we don't eat the dead bird and won't regardless. I just decided to bypass the whole thing. I am making butternut squash and sweet potatoe soup for us tomorrow in the crock pot.
