Yes, Jesus did turn water into wine.
We don't believe the scripture is to be read that Jesus turned the wine at the last supper into His blood. We believe the intent of the passage is the symbolism of the communion meal of bread and wine (grape juice). As we partake, we are to focus upon Jesus, and the gift of everlasting life that He gave us.
In that time a lot of the water wasn't pure, and people drank fruit juice and wine, but we also need to remember that alcohol clouds our minds to the unction of the Holy Spirit, so we believe that it is best for believers not to drink alcoholic beverages.
