In Reference to the Poem: DON’T QUIT
I know the real author of Don't Quit: my father who died in 1979.
My mother finally gave me his poems. My father took a class a year or two before. I can't remember the teacher but she was impressed with my fathers poems. He had been in Yale (ypi). My mother said his medications caused his condition.
While there he had posted a couple poems; they still have tape on them. How could Gerald Haughey claim to had written it between 92-99 it makes me sick. I wonder if he ever worked at Yale. I find it funny he said he worked at a mental hospital in NY and had posted his poems there. Sound familiar.
