Our society has had some very subtle ways of sanitizing violence; the most prevalent being what we do to animals, particularly on factory farms.

Every aspect of violence has a way of being somewhat “cancerous” to the mental health of our society, because the more we accept and excuse it; the more we harden our hearts.
