Agua Caliente, Mexican Dog Racing Track Closing

Caliente will hold its last race in just a few days, and the dogs must by moved out by July 22.

Agua Caliente, the only dog track in Mexico is closing and 150 surviving hounds will soon be free! And we are ready to help give these dogs the second chance they deserve.

For decades, American greyhounds have been racing and dying in Tijuana. But thanks to you, this is about to change.

With more and more states like Arizona, Colorado, Massachusetts and New Hampshire outlawing simulcasting, the gambling pipeline to US dollars has disappeared — and foreign dog tracks are losing money.

Nearly all of the dogs at Caliente are American born. They were raced frequently with just one or two days of rest. At one time, there were over 400 greyhounds living in misery at what became the worst racetrack in the world! In January, we were happy to help sponsor some of the first 200 dogs to be released, and now we are determined to help the rest. Won’t you please join us?
