Maddie Harris, Assistant Director of Web Development

Maddie has been a professional programmer since 2017, a vegan since 2003, and a friend to creatures big and small, real and imaginary since 1993. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2016 with a B.S. in Astrophysics and a B.A. in Russian.

Born and raised vegetarian by parents who exposed her to animal rights issues through benefits, protests, and honest conversations, Maddie was encouraged to think critically about ethical issues from a young age, and veganism has been an integral part of her identity ever since.

In her free time, Maddie enjoys studying languages, reading, going for walks, thinking about food, and eating. Maddie currently lives in Seattle with her two best friends—wife Valeria and cat Lionel.

Her foray into working professionally for animal liberation was joining the All-Creatures team in November, 2024. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to use her programming experience and passion for veganism to work to make the world a kinder, safer, healthier place for all of us.
