For today’s episode, vegan Pastor Frank addresses why God allowed humans to eat other animals after Noah came out of the ark. God didn’t change the rules; He offered Noah a temporary concession until the earth flourished with plants again as it was in Eden. However, that temporary concession became a curse. The ark was an attempt to bring us back to God’s Heavenly Will where there was no death, pain, or suffering. While God accepted Noah’s sacrifice as part of the repentance for humanity, God did not accept the killing because that’s what God wanted us to move away from. The whole purpose of the Flood was to punish humanity for our wickedness and violence, so why would God want us to return to our old ways? God acknowledged that humans are evil, “... every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood” (Genesis 8:21) and made it clear that we are not to eat any blood because “the blood is the life” (Deuteronomy 12:23), but how do you eat the flesh of another without blood? It’s impossible! It is not God’s Heavenly Will for humans to murder and eat other animals. Listen to learn more.
