No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

The Best Chili - 19 Jan 2006

Our friend Luella called yesterday with good news. The church she attends had a chili competition (cook-off). There were eight submissions: six contained meat and two contained no animal products (vegan). First and second prizes went to the vegan chili recipes, Luella’s and her friend’s!

If you haven’t tasted chili without the meat, you don’t know what you’re missing. Meat actually spoils the flavor of the chili.

Compassionate living makes food taste better!
