Coltsfoot - 29 Mar 2006

Today, March 29th, is a beautiful, sunshiny day.

While walking on our way to pick up our mail (3 miles, round trip), we spotted our first wildflowers of spring. They were coltsfoot growing on the side of the road. (See photo. We always take our digital camera along for just such photo opportunities!)

We also spotted more pussy willows today. In February, which was unusually warm, we saw our first ones for this year:

"Joyful Curmudgeon"
An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
