Yesterday, while walking back (3-mile round trip) to our home after
picking up our mail, we photographed a doe standing approximately
fifteen feet from us. We had seen her cross the road ahead of us, but
didn’t expect her to stop and wait for us to approach her. We stood
“talking” to her while Frank took these and other photos. We wonder if she is the
same doe we approached last year, and if she recognized us this year,
since she seemed interested in us and stayed near us for several
minutes. She had such an inquisitive, intelligent demeanor! We prayed
for her, asking God to protect her and the other deer.

Whenever I see these beautiful creatures of God, I am reminded how
far we humans have fallen that we can diabolically trick and destroy in
the name of “sport.” I’m inclined to believe these animals are
sacrificed to the idol of “Blood sport,” and that any such activity
becomes addictive.
A pastor told us that another pastor he knows shot and killed a doe
and her fawn who were together in his yard. We can’t help but wonder
what “god” that pastor really worships. Please look at this beautiful
photo, read the commentary, and then consider how hardened a person must
be to do what this pastor did:
