Christian Concern For All God’s Creatures – 5 June 2006

This past Saturday Frank and I were at Caldwell College in Caldwell, New Jersey where we took part in a conference of Christian Concern For All God’s Creatures, sponsored by God’s Creatures Ministry, an affiliate of Coalition for Animals.

Our topic was “Living in the Will Rather Than the Concessions of God.”

Besides listening to these outstanding speakers – Judy Carman (author), Jan Fredericks (founder of God’s Creatures Ministry), Deborah Jones (in a live video-conference from England), Stephen Kaufman, M.D. (Chair of the Christian Vegetarian Association), Barbara Ellicott (speech and language therapist), Steve Ember (of the New Jersey Animal Rights Alliance), and Rose Rosenbaum (President of Coalition for Animals) – we also saw the video “Honoring God’s Creation.”

In the Alumni Theatre, there was singing led by two singers and accompanied by a pianist. Everyone was provided with a song sheet with the words to the beautiful and inspiring hymns.

We enjoyed a fabulous, catered, vegan lunch, and had a wonderful time meeting “new” friends and greeting “old” ones!

"Joyful Curmudgeon"
An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
