Once more, a familiar piece of garbage came in the mail: A free
sample – the second one I’ve received – of a skin potion containing
squalane that is derived from shark livers. Since I wouldn’t dream of
using it, I threw it in the garbage along with the brochure that
proves there are a lot of suckers out there who will believe anything
and spend money to make fools of themselves while enriching the
hucksters.
Hucksterism is becoming more sophisticated. Now the hucksters include
women with “M.D.” after their names! Women have really moved up in the
world, haven’t they?! Women hucksters feed on their gullible, insecure
“sisters” who are so self-centered that they don’t give a second thought
to the evil of destroying other creatures for useless skin potions based
on wishful thinking! Here we are, in the twenty-first century, yet snake
oil sales are still rampant.
A toxicology report lists squalane as a skin, eye and respiratory
irritant that may be harmful and has not been fully investigated. The
use of safety glasses for personal protection is recommended.
Can you imagine calling this product of cruelty a “Godsend” in her
brochure? What blasphemy! In my opinion, far from being inspired by God,
such a depraved product could only be inspired by Satan.
In the Bible, John 8:44 plainly states that “the father of lies” is
Satan.
And for those who don’t want to believe that evil really exists, the
Bible uses the word “evil” 505 times. Here are only two examples:
Genesis 8:21
“…for the intent of man's [woman’s] heart is evil from his [her]
youth….”
Isaiah 5:20
20 Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil….
Frank and I have become increasingly convinced that the eating of
animal products is a root cause of skin problems. Since becoming vegan,
our skin has greatly improved; we don’t even get sunburned anymore, as
we did when we ate animal-derived products. We don’t use sunscreen or
any skin conditioners, and we are in our late sixties.
