"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?

More Yard Work – 13 September 2006

I was determined to do a lot of tree limb pruning, weed whacking, etc., so out I went shortly before 7:00 A.M. Half an hour later, it started to drizzle and I thought, “Oh-oh, I have lots more work to do!” The weather report had indicated afternoon and evening showers, so I was surprised by the precipitation so early in the morning. Well, I’m glad I didn’t give up and go in, because it didn’t get really rainy, and I managed to get it all done by 10:00 A.M.
