No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

 


Strong Bones – 29 January 2007

For years the dairy industry has brainwashed the public with the notion that milk was good for bones. Now the truth is coming out: Studies are proving that milk drinking affords no protection to bones.

Compared to women who drank little or no milk, those who were milk-drinkers had no protection against fractures, according to the 18 year long Harvard Nurses’ Health Study.

In a study of girls aged 12 through 22 at Penn State University, Tom Lloyd, Ph.D. found that milk did not strengthen their bones.

What does strengthen bones? According to new studies, adolescents and older women who ate the most fruits and vegetables had the strongest bones. Bone health seemed to benefit more from increased fruit consumption than from the amount of vegetables eaten.
