"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
Thinking about the scientifically proven origins of diseases such as aids, measles, whooping cough, influenza, and even the common cold, etc. – and acknowledging that humans have brought these diseases upon themselves by choosing to cross the boundaries of other animals – I come to the realization of the immense injustice perpetrated on other animals.
What began 10,000 years ago with the herding (”hurting”!) culture has exploded into an out-of-control animal exploitation frenzy that is sweeping the world. Adding insult to injury, the diseases that humanity has brought upon itself are used as an excuse to sadistically torture increasing numbers of animals under the guise of “searching for a cure”! Give me a break!
With spring just around the corner, thousands of suckers will be conned into donating their time, effort, and money to fund “charities” with “walks” for this or that disease. Everywhere you go – supermarkets, banks, roadways… – you’ll be asked to donate to these “charities” so that highly paid executives can keep the money flowing in.
When are people going to wake up to the fact that preventing these diseases is much easier than trying to cure the symptoms? When are people going to wake up and think for themselves? When are they going to say that enough is enough? When are they going to acknowledge the truth and go vegan?
