Global Warming – 10 April 2007

Seems like everywhere you turn nowadays, you’re confronted with talk about “global warming.” It’s a “hot topic”!

Well, the other night a TV program showed a couple of people going around, trying to inform the public about the warming of the planet and what to do about it. It’s interesting that they never even mentioned the United Nations study which confirms the very serious and rapidly growing damage to the environment posed by the booming world-wide farmed animal industry: the greenhouse gas emissions; the depletion and contamination of water, not only from animal wastes, but also from antibiotics and hormones, tannery chemicals, and pesticides used in growing feed crops. Instead, they mentioned things like changing the type of light bulbs used.

And what was the one suggested change that the reporter said he would implement? Change the type of light bulbs he uses!
