"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
During our walks the past couple of weeks, we spotted a few patches of a beautiful (endangered in some areas) wildflower that we look for every year in early spring. Here’s a poetic tribute I wrote about this wildflower:
Spring Beauty: a humble flower,
A pleasure to behold;
Delicate and unassuming,
Blooming on forest floor
Where nature’s treasure lies in store
For those who seek in quiet places
A rare reward.
