A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Glorifying Evil in a Fallen World – 15 August 2007
By Mary T. Hoffman

Yesterday I wrote about the wholesale destruction of prairie dogs and the negative environmental repercussions that are the result. I also mentioned the fact that states like Wyoming allow the killing at any time, and with no limit, of these hard-working, responsible creatures of God.

How warped and sadistic the humans who think it is “fun” and “profitable” to kill prairie dogs must be! Paying thousands of dollars to advertised private ranches that provide victims for these bloodthirsty, perverted people’s idea of “fun” goes to prove how E-V-I-L they really are.

Obviously, their spiritual father, Satan (the devil), is fooling them. As Jesus says in John 8:44 –

44. “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him.”
~ New American Standard Bible

These cowardly murderers of the innocent may think they are getting away with their corrupt behavior in this fallen world, but God reads the heart and can’t be fooled, as His Word says (Acts 15:8-9 and Hebrews 4:12-13).

In Matthew 7:13-14, Jesus warns us:

13. "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide, and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and many are those who enter by it.

14. "For the gate is small, and the way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it."
~New American Standard Bible

To me, the behavior of these people proves that they are trying to enter by the gate that is wide and the way that is broad.
