"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
I just finished writing a review of the book, The Longest Struggle: Animal Advocacy from Pythagoras to PETA, by Norm Phelps. I had thoroughly enjoyed another book by Norm Phelps, The Dominion of Love: Animal Rights According to the Bible, so I really looked forward to this one, and I can’t praise it enough! It is absolutely, positively the most intelligent, interesting book – well, read it for yourself and see if you don’t agree with me!
It is my fervent hope and prayer that this book becomes a text for students of all ages who want to know the documented truth about the fascinating history of animal exploitation and the battle for animal justice.
