"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
Many years ago, before learning about the multitude of health benefits of a vegan lifestyle, I ate the Standard American Diet (SAD). Among the many health problems that I assumed were just a normal part of life was difficulty digesting some raw vegetables – such as cucumbers. Thankfully, I no longer have any digestive problems.
Now, when I hear other people who are still on the SAD diet saying that they “can’t eat vegetables,” I think back to that time long ago.
Health-wise, I’ve experienced so many unexpected improvements since going vegan. I thank God for blessing me with a teachable spirit that allows me to hear the truth and make positive and compassionate changes accordingly.
