A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

The Great Ape Protection Act – 5 June 2008
By Mary T. Hoffman

We sent this email letter to Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand in Washington, D.C. She is the Representative from our Congressional District.

Dear Representative Gillibrand:

We urge you to please sign on as a co-sponsor of bill H.R. 5852 (The Great Ape Protection Act).

In the eyes of more and more people, experimentation on animals (particularly on primates such as chimpanzees) is fast becoming archaic and unnecessary. Time and money are wasted on worthless, redundant research that is not applicable to humans and may result in further harm to them.

We look forward to your reply and to any questions you may have.

Thank you,

Frank L. Hoffman
