"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
What a gorgeous autumn day! Today my husband Frank and I had a wonderful time hiking through one of our favorite areas: Cohotate Preserve, a year-round nature preserve that features self-guided tours on nature trails.
Located on the Hudson River on the site where many years ago the storage and distribution of ice was an important business, now we enjoy the trees, the wildflowers, the pond, the wooden footbridges and the unobstructed waterfront of this delightful place.
Also situated here is the Greene County Environmental Education Center where students can have fun while learning to appreciate and protect our environment.
