With all due respect to Europe for opposing the Canadian seal
hunt, I humbly request that they also clean up their own act. The
following email from the Vancouver Animal Defense League about the
annual "Grind" in Denmark's Faroe Islands needs no verbal
embellishment

A country supposedly 'civilized' and an EU country at that.
For many people this attack to life is unknown� a custom to
'show' entering adulthood.
It is absolutely atrocious.
No one does anything to prevent this barbarism being committed
against the Calderon,
a highly intelligent dolphin that is placid, and approaches
humans out of friendliness !!!
This happens in Denmark regularly. These are the Faeroe
