Opinion: In my opinion Mr. Marr was the most interesting speaker to date. I liked how he didnt just give us a 90-minute National Geographic presentation on tigers, but instead used tigers as an example to branch off into their habitat, deforestation and our planet. One thing I felt was very intriguing was when he said that he doesnt just give western technology to the tribes in rural India. Instead, he teaches them how to make it for themselves, like the solar oven.
I loved his stories about how tigers hunt, and how the elephant picked up
his glasses which had fallen into the undergrowth. His slides were also
very powerful and persuasive to his cause. The one with the stretched out
tiger was very sad. The most interesting thing he said was that people say
the tiger is doomed, but he doesnt share the pessimism. He has faith in
the next generation and continues to work and make a difference and I
admire him very much for doing so.
