Council of Walton Hill's Ohio to be honored in Time-Capsule-of-HOPE-2060
To the Walton Hills Town Council, Ohio:
Dear Madams and Sirs,
This email from Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada, is proof that your act of compassionate and civilized
leadership is known and appreciated internationally. Your rejection of
lethal methods as a means of urban deer management will set a new standard
for city councils across the nation, and serve as a positive example and
case precedent for other cities to follow, not only in Ohio, but
nation-wide.
My organization Heal Our Planet Earth
(HOPE - www.HOPE-CARE.org ) will be
launching a series to time capsules destined for the year 2060, one per
state and Canadian province, to honor good politicians and officials for
posterity, to condemn the bad one to perpetuity. Believe me, at this point
the bad side is filled to the brim, but the good side is practically empty.
Given the exceptional performance of the Walton Hills Council on the humane
deer management issue, HOPE proposes that those council members who voted
against the use of lethal force be so honored on the brass plaque of the
Ohio Time-Capsule-of-HOPE-2060.
Walton Hills may be a small community, but
it towers like a giant amidst communities like Pepper Pike and Solon.
Sincerely,
Anthony Marr, founder and president
