Defending the Whales' Defender
Dear friends in Animal Rights:
The Sea Shepherd ship Steve Irwin has again set sail in harm's way. I say
this in a very real sense. Last season, Captain Paul Watson sustained the
impact of a Japanese bullet in his chest, save only by his kevlar vest. The
renewed threat of physical violence and "arrest" by the Japanese whaling
fleet must be taken seriously, and dealt with accordingly. Please read the
following, launched by the Sea Shepherd Support group (SSS, of whose
Advisory Board I am a member). Then go to
and vote, plus add a comment.
At this point, the Steve Irwin of Sea Shepherd is the only and last line
of defense where the whales are concerned. She must be defended - by us.
