Society ducks for cover over cruelty

REGARDING the report `Owner pleads for dog’ in Wednesday’s Advertiser.

What a highly inconsistent society we live in where a dog faces a death sentence for mauling a duck, yet humans - with the blessing of the Victorian Government - can ruthlessly and cruelly blast them out of the skies.

Even more ironic is the fact that those who try to rescue ducks wounded by shooters can be charged and fined.
