Hello,

I found this headline while surfing online: FDA OKs 1st drug from genetically altered animals.

This is alarming and cruel. They genetically engineered goat embryos and then implanted them into other goats to take their milk to make this "medicine."

My question is, what happens to the goat kids? This is another example of scientific exploitation. What's really alarming is that the FDA and Europe approved this medication without question. I'm sure an alternative can be found, but not this time it seems.

Thank you for contacting us about this troubling situation. This is just another example of trying to find treatments for a disease instead of trying to prevent the disease.

If human beings would wake up and switch to an unprocessed plant food diet (vegan), they most likely wouldn't get sick and thus wouldn't need any medications. We haven't needed any medications, not even aspirin, since we became vegan more than 20 years ago.

Veganism is also the most permanent way to end animal exploitation.
