To the Editor:

The "Save Your Heart" feature in your March-April 2002 issue, well intended as it may be, does a disservice to your readers who deserve to hear about a simple, very effective way to reach the goal of heart health Jim Thornton, the writer, sought.

Thousands have found that simply going vegan (choosing from the new four food groups: whole grains, vegetables, legumes, and fruit) results in optimum health.

Having a family history of heart disease (father, mother, aunts and uncles), I feel truly grateful that I learned years ago to save my life by simply eliminating all animal products. My wife and I share in this positive approach to health that for us has opened up a world of well-being, energy, and an endless variety of culinary delights.

Let’s see articles about the successes of John McDougall, M.D., Joel Fuhrman, M.D., and cardiologist Caldwell Esselstyn, M.D., to name a few.

Feel free to contact us for more information.

Sincerely,

The Mary T. and Frank L. Hoffman Family Foundation

Frank L. Hoffman
