1 Timothy 4:1-2
New King James Version

1. Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,

2. speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron,

This is one of the many stages we will experience before Jesus comes for us. The Holy Spirit prophesied this and it is happening today. People are turning away from the true God, Jehovah and believing the lies told by those who are deceived.  Those who listen poison their soul and are subject to demonic strongholds.

When it says that their conscience was seared with a hot iron, it is speaking of that part of their humanity where compassion has been removed.  A seared conscience is one that has been the product of a godless society and the encouragement to be self-centered by that same society. It is the removal of the basic characteristics that makes us human, like sympathy or empathy. If we do not have sympathy, understanding between people, common feeling or empathy, and the ability to understand and share the feelings of another, then we lose our humanity.  This paves the way for sociopathic tendencies.  This is the definition of a sociopath:   a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

The ability to have sympathy or empathy is what makes us human and godly.

If our conscience is seared because of the spiritual and emotional poisoning in our environment then surely those of the next generation are being filled with this toxicity and have no value system or conscience to judge between right and wrong.

The very deceptions that demons have tried to oppress us with will now be spread throughout the land by those who are self-seeking and power hungry.  These are the people willing to speak lies untouched by any feelings of guilt or remorse.  To them it is just as natural and necessary to lie and deceive as it is to breathe.

If we do not know the word of God we can fall into the traps set by darkness.

In the darkness we will lose our sight and ability to think clearly, but when we bathe ourselves in the light and truth of God on a daily basis, we are nourishing our spirit and soul and growing stronger. It will then be too difficult for us to entertain any lies and they will feel wrong and evil to our heart.

Challenge:  Spend time in the word. Soak in the truth that will keep you free.  Ask God to reveal things to you and ask Him to open up your spiritual eyes to help you see spiritual things and ask Him to keep you standing in His truth.

God bless

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
