Exodus 33:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest

The presence of God is the manifestation of who He is. His presence manifests every quality and characteristic He has. In our moment of need His presence is our help as it presents the solution that we need in the moment Our rest is in the presence of God. When we surrender into His power our earthly strength is recognized as weakness. God’s strength floods us with hope, peace and joy.

This true strength helps us in the midst of trials where we are able to face the most difficult situations. Receiving from God gives us the tools needed for any issue. We need God’s presence.

When God talks about His presence going with us, He is not referring to some mystical cloud that hovers above us. He is speaking of One who is very actively participating in our day to day struggles and being the answer for every one of those struggles.

We must actively keep ourselves in His presence. Saying yes to God and obeying all He requests is how we surrender to Him. In this way we are not worried, fearful or anxious because we are trusting Him for good results. Our trust in Him becomes a resting place of quiet, peaceful living.

God’s presence is peace Therefore, God is our peace.

The hebrew word “shalom” means peace, but it also means completeness and soundness. The peace of God is all encompassing and has no earthly understanding.

2 Thessalonians 3:16 New International Version

16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.

Most of us have not experienced the full measure of peace in its entirety. We have been blessed with small portions of it from time to time, and yet we have unhindered access to His peace because we were given the right to approach God boldly and dwell in His presence of mercy and grace

Hebrews 4:16 New International Version

16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Challenge: Practice the presence of God. Invite the Lord into your everyday moments. Talk to Him, He is listening. wait in His presence and move when He says to.

God bless

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
