Psalm 118:24 New Life Version

24. This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us be full of joy and be glad in it.

This day that is referred to here is any day, every day and all day.  It is not a specific and designated time and place.  We could quote this verse every single day.   If we were to speak it out loud daily our heart would hear the truth of these words echoing through time and space and eventually embrace them until they become a part of our belief system.

We are creatures of habit and with repetition we either become a person who is pessimistic or one who optimistic.  This is solely dependent on what we feed into our minds.

Words of encouragement and an attitude of praise and thankfulness is life giving. When we speak out words they are as droplets into the vast spiritual ocean and are activated into a manifestation of what will or will not happen.   For instance, if we speak out something life giving such as “by His stripes I am healed”, those words are charged with the power of the heavenlies and produce healing.   But when negative words are uttered, just the same they are in turn activated by the powers of darkness and unfavorable results are produced.

God has given us the authority and power to speak into situations and grow fruit that is nourishing and plentiful.   Each time we mutter or complain we are causing the kingdom of darkness to manifest its works within our lives and around us.

As Believers, we are vessels of the Holy Spirit and He desires to use us in order to show Himself on the earth.

As we speak life giving messages, our mind cannot help but be transformed by this daily renewing.

It is in our thought life where the battle is fought; this is where Satan predominantly attacks.  He slithers around our thoughts and manipulates them in such a way that will eventually affect our feelings and emotions and this will motivate our behavior and actions as well as our attitude.

There is an immaturity in being led by feelings and emotions because they are like waves in the sea; some are gentle rolls that mildly affect us and others are huge and destructive and if unchecked these waves can influence us to make irrational and harmful choices.   Sadly, our enemy can use our very own thoughts and attitudes to defeat us.

Challenge:   In order to remain balanced and sure footed we must purposely choose to be thankful for our existence and choose each day to focus on the possibilities of life.

God bless,

Marni

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
