Psalm 56:8 The Voice

8. You have taken note of my journey through life,
caught each of my tears in Your bottle.
But God, are they not also blots on Your book?

Just as parents keep record of their child’s growing years, our Father in heaven does the same. His records are much more accurate and He reaches deep into our soul where only He can see our struggles; the silent as well as the outward tears we cry.  To Him our tears are precious; everything about us is precious and important to Him.  He holds these moments in a place protected with compassion and love.

When we feel alone and misunderstood, He sees our most intimate moments of weeping. He knows well the deep pain or sorrow we feel.   He is there in those most sacred instances and listens with a Father’s heart.

None of our tears fall unnoticed.   He notices and understands each one and as He catches each one He carefully puts them in a bottle where they are always in His sight.

He watches us take every step, sharing the sorrows of our losses and failures and rejoicing with us in our victories.    He writes in his eternal journal all the incredible things He sees in us; His creation.

His book is made up of shared times with Him and the heartbreaking moments when He reached out and we turned the other way.

Everything about us is captivating to Him and He knows all.    With every triumph into healing or growth, He encourages us on with endearing discoveries of life around us; He creates for us something that will speak directly into the deepest part of our being.

God will not turn away from us; even for a moment.  His watchful eye is ever upon us for He is determined not to miss a thing about us.

We are never alone.  This is God’s promise.

Psalm 73:23 New King James Version

23. Nevertheless I am continually with You.

Challenge:  When you are feeling disheartened or disappointed, when you feel that no one understands and you feel alone, read in God’s word the promises He gives to us and believe.

God bless,

Marni

lamb-rightThe purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
