Romans 10:17 World English Bible
So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Ministers of the gospel have the responsibility of bringing God’s word to people mostly on Sunday, but all believers have the responsibility of sharing God’s word whether from the bible or a word of knowledge to whomever God is sending them to.
It is easy to open our ears and listen to God’s word. The word of God is a light that is eternal and stirs up faith in us and in those we share it with. Psalm 119:105 (AMP)
Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path.
God gave us a fountain of truth in His word; it is life giving and powerful. When we are struggling with doubt because of our circumstances, we may sink into a hole of despair, but God’s word builds us up because it is truth. He tells us He has a plan and purpose for our lives in Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God’s word tells us about His great love for us.……… John 3:16 (NIV)
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
If God loves us that much and says He has a plan for our lives, then He is dedicated to making sure we remain on the pathway He designed for each one of us. Through discernment, through a spoken word in our heart, God proves that He is true. Jesus is the physical manifestation of God’s word. John 1:14 (NIV)
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
God’s word is our guide as we listen and do what His word says. It stirs up our faith and moves us into the place we need to be for His blessings to touch us. If God is saying to seek Him and what we need and even what we want will manifest in our lives, then it means we need to hear and follow in faith so that we are in position to receive. Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
One of the ways God wants us to know and understand Him is in His word. This is where we get our instructions on how to be witnesses in this world. How we behave and what our actions are is according to our faith. In this place of faith, we position ourselves so that we are in line with God’s will and what we ask for under His inspiration will manifest. As we do what God asks us to do, we move into God’s blessings.
Challenge: soak yourself in the word of God, so that your faith in Him is strong and you are able to trust Him through the twists and turns of life.
God bless

The
purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate,
and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy
will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through
Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord
require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your
God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or
crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the
standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for
the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not
Christian.
