Happy 40th Anniversary, Mary

Forty years! How could it be forty years?
The time is shorter than the calendar appears.

To many an anniversary is counting one’s fate;
That is because they don’t have a soul mate.

With like interests we have been endowed,
Though the world wishes it wasn’t allowed.

If creation anxiously awaits the children of God,
Then why is our compassion considered so odd?

What could be better than another forty years,
Of working together to end suffering and tears?

That the Lord returns and death should cease,
To give people and animals everlasting peace.

So my bride, my love, there’s no controversy,
This is just another Happy Anniversary!
